Before the King are an indie/post-punk revival/alt-rock band from Sydney, NSW. We started playing in 2014, and booked our first gigs in late 2015. In 2018 alone, we’ve played venues such as the Hideaway Bar (Newtown), the Chippo Hotel (Chippendale), and the Bald Faced Stag (Leichardt). We also won the UNSW Roundhouse’s Band Competition. We released our debut EP, Pre’s, in early 2018, and are about to hit the studio in November.
We provide most of the equipment for our gigs, with the exception of a PA systems and microphones. However, many venues provide this equipment, so this hasn’t been a problem for us in the past.
